A replacement face is reasonably expensive. As for your rotary commander
problem, check the plug going into the deck to ensure that the contacts are
clean. Aside from that, the fact that it's working in an opposite manner
would indicate that you should check the setting on your deck (hit the shift
button and check for RM REV or RM NORM) and switch the setting as so
desired.

If it's an intermittent thing, I'd be inclined to think that you have a
problem with the deck itself and the logic circuit within might need to be
looked at as a result.

Adios,

Subject: MD: MDX-C670 Rotary Problems

I'm having a problem with my Sony MDX-C670 Car Stereo. The rotary volume
control is not working properly. When I turn the volume control, it
sometimes will not work, or will work in the opposite manner (ie, volume
goes up not down). Is anyone else having this problem? Is it expensive to
get a replacement face for the stereo? Any help would be really
appreciated.
