I'd heartily recommend (my) AM-F70 since it has all the features of the
sharp plus a few more (its x2 playback for mono stuff is same-pitch,
eliminating the Alvin and the Chipmunks sound of x2 speed, the main display
and keys are also backlit, 40 hrs battery life w/external pack, etc) but
I'm taking out the "heartily" for one reason: mine just broke. Sure it was
after a marathon 50+ MD dubbing session and a few months of not-too-gentle
treatment, but I had to pay $60 to replace the cable and get the keys tweaked.

Nonetheless, I still love it, and I think I got lucky with the low repair
charge.
