Ummmmm, well i hope i gave the correct idea.  the 800r unit will actually
allow you to record music off the radio or if you have a changer record a cd
to a md while it's in the changer.  it also has a groovy little thing that
allows you to set a timer and record a show while your car is off (the face
plate doesn't even need to be on for it to do that) but i've not used that
function yet.  it also has all the editing capabilities and other stuff of a
regular mdr.  i hope that helps.
