I never said Mac was "best" for me, nor did I say that PC wasn't "best" for
others. NO computer is "best" for everyone, and that will never be true. I
use Macs, Wintel PCs, and UNIX machines in my work. Any current Windows or
Mac OS machine is great for a new user nowadays. They each have advantages
and disadvantages, but they will "do" for just about anyone. There's really
no clear and compelling argument for or against either anymore. Macs are
much cheaper than they used to be, and Windows is much easier to use than it
used to me.

I only said what I said because it gets boring hearing PC users who don't
have a clue about the actual, *current* Mac market spewing the same stuff
they've been using to bash Macs for the past 15 years. Most PC people (not
all, but the vast majority) really don't know what they're talking about
when it comes to Macs, simply because they aren't familiar enough with the
market, the hardware, the software, etc. They hear stuff from magazines,
websites, or their friends. Those of us who actually use and support multi
platforms get tired of it (and it comes from Mac people, too, don't get me
wrong).

P.S. Matt, if you'd like, I could find a blow-out sale on Macs with pretty
incredible prices, too. You can find a "limited supply" amazing price on any
computer. But if you go to each of these manufacturer's sites and pick
comparable, currently shipping units, you'll find that the prices are pretty
comparable for similar setups. Here's a good comparison site:
<http://www.aapltalk.com/shootouts/> Yes, it's a "Mac" site, but a pretty
objective one. In fact, you'll find that Macs *don't* win every comparison
;)
