This is an entirely different type of "page views" tool, and totally unrelated to the page views that the original poster is talking about
stats.grok.se and wmflabs "pageviews" tool both are frontends to the same backend system (I believe originally based on squid logs. In modern times I believe its varnish logs -> varnishkafka -> kafka -> hadoop).
