We have already provided the patch to Bernd and he is working to integrate it
and that is based on the promised functionfs, which we have worked just on
the request of Intel.

It would have been nice if these decisions are discussed in the open. It really
comes as a surprise to me that there were solo decisions taken without involving
the contributors of the open source projects.
