Dave,
It is the distance between the mounting flange on the rim and the inner
portion of the spoke assemblies (X offset) that need to be larger to clear
the Z32 calipers. The calipers outer edge sticks out 70 mm to the outside
from the disc centreline.
As for rim sizes, I have some 15" Rays Engineering 3 piece rims that fit
over them very closely (4 mm thick spacer needed), My 16" CSA daytona's fit
beautifully but my 16"x9" Simmons V4's won't because of the inner profile
on the centre of the rim!.
Cheers
Feral Errol

All,
Errol: (sorry about he errrrolllll in last post) do you mean that the 300ZX
calipers need a large positive offset to clear?.. because if thats the case
then:
Mick: doesn't a high positive offset help reduce the overall track width as
the wheel is moving inwards?
Also Errol, would the size of the rim have any impact on clearance?.. ie I
assume that I won't be able to fit anything under 15" rims? coz they'll hit
the calipers?.
BTW: I'm getting my thoughts about positive offsets from:

Thanks all,
