Matt,
I assume you mean spongy with that master cylinder size. The pedal travel
would also be large.
I would fit up a 7/8" MC from a 260C or 280C and you should have a lot
better pedal feeel and less pedal travel.

i'm running r31 rears , 10'' vented fronts, 180b 3/4'' m/c and a 180b bais
valve, and the brakes feel a bit funny . is the m/c size ok to use with that
combo?
