Errol,   I bought a 240k water pump (its the same height as the Z one I got) in the hope of cutting the clutch fan from the original pulley/pump/clutch assembly and tapping holes into it to bolt it up in the normal way (its too fat to fit a decent radiator & thermo in on a 510), after about 10 minutes with the hacksaw I broke the G clamp I was using, kicked the engine stand and decided to try the other pump.  It lines up perfectly, with the old pulley making up for the difference in height.  Since I only replaced the water pump on my old L18 a month ago the choice was easy!  As for the flow data I'm obviously keen to see some too :)   - Tom    -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Errol Smith Sent: Tuesday, 16 January 2001 6:48 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Z ENGINE PULLEYS N WATER PUMPS Listers, Any with Z series engines should look at changing crank pulleys and water pumps on the Z for those from a 240K (Same as done on an L20B). Easy to do and a much more responsive engine.  A lightened flywheel will also help a bit. P.S the 42mm inlet and 38mm exhausts on the late Z20E engines seem to flow very well. Has any one on the list some flow bench figures for this engine? It has much larger exhausts that the early Z engines 36mm??.
