Damn! So sorry to hear about your misfortune, but
luckily no major personal injuries.
I couldn't accurately say which way would be best to
rebuild your car, but in my own opinion it may be
cheaper and easier to track down an example that has
already had the work put in to it. Save a lot of
hassles, time, and most likely money. Plus you can
enjoy driving a datto almost instantly.But then again,
there is also a lot of fun in a build, plus you can
make the modifications how you want, rather than
having to correct those that may have been done by a
previous owner. Fellow listers may not agree with my
way of thinking, but i'd probably take the easy option
of buying one that's already been restored, or at the
very least pay a premium to find an unmolested genuine
example.
