Daniel,
You can drill and tap for a fitting on the lug near the comp outlet or you could run it off the manifold.Should go well with that on it.I'm looking at fitting one of these on a volvo 860 (2.5L 5 cyl 20 valve).Still looking into computer mods to suit the turbo conversion. These things use a motronic which are hard to alter.I'll probably end up piggy backing a unichip onto it as long as it doesn't affect the trans comp. There's a guy in perth who as one of these turbos on a ca18det which makes 160kw at the wheels at 15psi. After one week of driving it around he put on a HUGE turbonetics item on it...................I've never seen a turbo so big! It has a 4 inch inducer on it, anyway its in good nick with absoulutely no play in the turbine shaft, no signs of coking and no signs of oil leaks. It had only done 53 000kays and it had never had any bleed devices on it so its probably never been run above 8psi. Best thing was that I only paid 500 bucks for the thing! One question I have though is where do they take the signal for the wastegate from? It doesn't have anything drilled or tapped in the compressor housing like most turbos I've seen, would it be on from the intake manifold? Thanks Jon, Errol, Heath, Andrew etc, etc for the advice.
