Daniel,

I am having a racing motor built. The price I was quoted was $2900 for the
2.4L and $1900 for the worked 2L. That is a good price, other engine
builders will probably ask for more. The 2.4L get's it's extra cubes from a
2mm overbore and it uses a modified Z22 crank, to give it more stroke.
Basicly the 2 motors have simular HP output (about 200HP) but the 2.4L is
heaps more tourqey. (is that a word?)

As for brakes, I am very happy with my Commondore calapers/verida rotors
setup mounted on a 200B strut. It even fits under a 14in wheel.

As for carbies, if your going to run a 2.4L, you'd want at least 45s or 48s
to get the most out of it. I have been unsucessful in locating some 48s so
I might go fuel injection instead or just use the SUs until I find some.

Hope that helps some.
