Probably only 100Hp.
What combo have you got to give 176Hp?

It happens in tight, slow and rough rally type situations when the rear shocks have
had a hard day and are knackered.
But I could see it happening if you like doing drag starts and you don't back off when
you get axle-tramp.

When I checked the un-broken side I found cracking there as well.

Really, only the rear seatbelt is holding the mount in.
Without the rear seatbelt the chassis rail will get torn into 3 pieces pretty quickly.

The second time it failed it actually pulled the seatbelt through the floor.

I reckon it is worthwhile to strengthen this area if you are considering fast off-road
driving or big HP drag racing.

Regards,
Nick

Yeeha,
Go the Stanza

The standard upgrade is the S12 H190 Gazelle housing with a 720 short-nose centre.

You should also strengthen the top arm mounts at the same time on the chassis side(at the chassis rail and wheel arch)
<<I've torn mine out twice :{>>
But the diff is absolutely strong as, and pumps the track out so the rear end looks sweet.

Look in the archives for more info.

Nick

guys what's a good (read tough) replacement diff for a stanza?
I've busted mine BIG time
when you try to accelerate there's just a whirring noise from the diff
then occasionally there's a BANG the diff grabs, throws the car forward about 2m then starts just whirring and spinning again
stripped axel perhaps?
will a S3 TRX diff bolt straight up? I've heard they're pretty tough
