Chris, This very common on most cars if you look at them carefully say in a car park, particularly current shape dunnydores as they are sagging only a couple of years on the road. 1cm or so isn't really worth worrying too much about, it's not going to hurt your handling or ride but I know what you mean as I agree it is annoying. Did you know that OEM springs on Dattos in the 70's had different PN's for nearside & offside springs? I'm not sure how much extra height the OS springs were but it worked. Other Japanese cars used the same techniques (eg Toy) but you even see 15 yo Toys sagged on the drivers side. Maybe it's a ploy to keep aftermarket spring manufacturers in business. I asked Lovell's about this some time ago as our Toy Royal has sagged on one side to the point where it's noticeable these days, the first bloke shrugged but I persisted and asked one of their racing techos (Ian Moon) who said it was too hard to manufacture slightly different springs across the whole range economically and the average life of aftermarket springs on Aussie vehicles was only 7 years (I could have argued about this but they've done the market research), so coil overs are the way to go - right, OK, $$$$ shrug.
The problem is usually more prevalent in the rear, especially on a RHD car with LSD as the primary drive side is the offside, I think it's unlikely that you've got anything twisted or the like.
