Depends how nuts you are going to go with mods. The rising rate regulator
just increases fuel pressure by 2psi for every 1psi of boost increase in the
manifold. They are good because you can get extra fuel out of a set of
injectors without having to upgrade them when you reach 100% duty cycle. In
my z18et, I have a rising rate regulator with Bosch 036 injectors. That
combo should be good for a heap of power considering the injectors will flow
300hp total of fuel at 100% duty cycle AND only 45psi of fuel pressure
(standard base pressure). So with 15psi of boost, the injectors will have
75psi of fuel pressure behind them, shit I hope the pump can keep up!
Anyway if you don't plan on doing many mods, stick with the standard reg
until it breaks. It should cope with reasonable boost increases. You'll
probably find that changing the regulator will also mean making a new fuel
rail as well.

Cheers
