Terry, I don't think any of my 510 Dattos had that badge centrally located on the rear panel. Did it only come out in particular years I wonder or did people keep losing them, or not bothering to replace them after rear end damage. I have seen them on some cars, that's for sure. On the subject of rear end collisions, yesterday an 18 year old female who was tailgating me in a Suzuki Mighty Boy ended up pranging into me when the guy in front of me stopped suddenly at lights. He stopped, I stopped, she did'nt, and the collision pushed my car into the car in front. So I became the meat in the sandwich and got damage at both ends of my car. Witnesses said she was speeding and weaving as well. It was her boyfriends car, it was uninsured and there was a "For Sale $2500" sign on the passenger window. Now that sign probably says "Wrecking for parts". She pushed her fan through the radiator - serves her right anyway! Luckily I left the 1600 home that day and took my Vitara 4WD with its enormous roo-bar! I guess I could have gotten some much needed free rust removal and paint for the rear if I had taken the Datto but panelbeater would have had a hard time matching the 30 year old (now matte finish) orange paint ;-). Actually I think most insurers would just have written off a 510 in a crash like that, it was only insured for about $2400. It happened to a guy I know called Brett. He got paid out by the inurance company for his immaculate 510 (about $4000 I think) and then bought the wreck off them for a few hundred bucks and fixed it himself - looks sweet! Anyway, I'm all insured and OK apart from some pretty bad whiplash, she must've been doing close to 60 km/h. Even the witnesses said she got what was coming to her. Silly, silly girl.
