Gearboxs, 4spd Vs 5spd

hey listers, i am about to purchase an immaculate 1600 that has the original 4spd behind an L16.what i am going to do, is once i get it, i am putting my L20B with a 5 spd box into it, What i am wondering is if there are any changes, mods that i have to do, like different shorter tailshaft, and will i have to cut another hole in the tranny tunnel for the gear stick??? i am guessing that the 4spd is shorter in length that the 5spd, or are they the same???
