Hi Terry, I was wondering could you pls elaborate a bit on the clutch release bar part you mentioned - is this the clutch fork? What are the differences, and how does the 5 speed one auto-adjust? i did not realise there were different types.
Thanks Andrew > Stuey, > Gearbox: modify gearbox xmember (varies depending on what the 5 spd is out > of - i.e. long box, stumpy or dogleg), assuming long box you need 955mm > tailshaft (stock 1600 is 1090mm), flat type rear engine mount eg 240K, C210 > or Stanza (can't recall whether 200B fit), longer speedo cable eg 180B auto > or 620, if you want to use the 1600 adjustable clutch release bar you have > to change it over in the bell housing, make sure that you use the release > bearing that goes with the clutch being used (different length i.e. shorter > is used on 1600 to most other Datsun clutches), if you want to use the auto > adjusting clutch release rod off the 5 spd box, then just bolt the 1600 > slave cylinder up the 5 speed and bleed it - it's that easy.
