I wouldn`t drive it as you may encounter the same
problems Stuey has with his engine.
I know it`s tempting to take it for a drive but
just remember how many $$$$ you spent and how many more it may cost you if you
destroy it!!!!!!!!
Coming from an L18 it will probably start no
worries. I would take it to the dyno to get them to run the cam in at
2500rpm for 20 mins, change the oil and then get them to do some running in
before they do some power runs. They will have a pretty good idea where to start
at. It will cost but you will have an engine that will last a very
long time (provided it`s assembled well).
My A15 was done that way and i had it for 6 years
and all i did was change the oil.
What comp are you running as it seems like a
largish cam?
