For me, the bigger question would be will my NA accessories and injection pump bolt up to a turbo short block. I'd love to upgrade to a turbo 606, but don't want to deal with the fly-by-wire throttle and all the additional electronics they put on the new engine. If I could get a good turbo short block and reuse a lot of my parts, it might be feasible. The only real issue I see is that the NA IP probably does not have provisions for sensing boost to adjust fuel.

Thanks for the research. I was expecting the exhaust valves, but
different pistons bothers me--and the block too? I eventually need a
new head, so I was thinking if I could possibly locate a running OM606
NA or turbo, I could swap over my tweaked pump and custom exhaust
manifold (w/Holset turbo) for roughly the same price--silly idea, eh?

Thanks again for indulging me.
