Hmm. Good point. I hadn't thought about that. And at highway speeds, these cars run with the wastegate open almost all the time, don't they?

I suppose I could argue that the more the wastegate opens, the lower the exhaust back pressure will be and the more efficiently the engine will "breathe," but that's got to be a pretty minor effect.
