You want to find something close to the diameter of the shaft, like a drill shank, to slide into the odometer to replace the shaft as you slide it out. Then you want to roughen the shaft only where it is in the slipping gear. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to knurl the shaft a bit. I did too good a job, and needed a hammer to reinstall the shaft. Mine will never slip again unless the gear cracks. The alternative involves a tiny, tiny drop of super glue, touching only the shaft and the gear. _______________________________________ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] For new parts see www.buymbparts.com For repairs see www.oldworldauto.com To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://striplin.net/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_striplin.net _______________________________________ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] For new parts see www.buymbparts.com For repairs see www.oldworldauto.com To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://striplin.net/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_striplin.net
