Andrew, First, ditch the log. It's too unstable even if it's a foot in diameter. Get two jack stands.
Second, put a 2x6x36 or 48 on the floor in front of each ramp with one end up against a concrete sill or something like that. Did it for many years. Ramps won't slide.
