Now there's an idea... I'd entertained the thought of emmigrating to NZ last year when I chap I know returned to Canada after working there for a while in order to tend to a sick relative. We have almost identical skill sets, and since they've lost one highly skilled worker, I figured there was a gap to fill. I should look into that.
