If there is no fuel, it will have little resistance when you push the primer. With fuel, there will be maybe 10-15 lb resistance, and you should be able to hear fuel rattling the pressure relief valve on the back side of the inj pump if it is quiet when you pump.

There is a primer of some sort on the fuel filter housing I think but I have never used it so not sure what it should do or feel like. May pull and replace the filter so should get an opportunity to check it out.

Does the W115/OM617 have the manual primer pump?
Do you feel fuel pushing through the pressure relief valve when you work the pump?
Mitch.
