Laptop or desktop machine? If desktop - you should be able to wash it out, though I'd (Jim Cathy - don't read any further) throw it away. If it's a laptop, find the repair manual on-line, and remove the keyboard, take the key tops off, wash it really good, rinse with distilled water (add a drop of dish detergent to the rinse water), and let dry. Re-assemble.
We used to "repair" the Mac keyboards for the publications ladies in our darkroom with a very similar process, back when a Mac keyboard was over $200.
