I did not say I agreed with it, I just stated where things are going. There are benefits.
What if you have a chronic condition - let's say congestive heart failure, you are traveling and have an accident. You are hauled into the ER and they have to know what medications not to give you. For example, if they give you the wrong stuff, you could die in the ER from heart failure or internal bleeding. With an on-line system, the attending physician can pull up your records and adjust your treatment accordingly.
