Then, as I said, and someone else said, just raise the building if the zoning will permit it. That might be a problem and if it is, then you would have to seek an exemption and neighbors might object.
Another possible means if the whole thing cannot be lifted, would require redoing the roof which you don't want to do. If you put a gable roof on, then with the correct style of truss, you could lift the vehicle partly into the "attic". It could give you the necessary head room and still look good from the street.
