As was mentioned, you want good winter tires. IMHO, you want 2 sandbags in the trunk too. Other than that, the 107 is as good as any rwd car in snow. It will go anywhere until it floats on the belly pan.

I'd suggest looking for a 380SL of the later years with the double row timing chain, unless the owner can prove they paid for a double row chain conversion. It saves the hassle of pulling a valve cover to find out if it has a single chain. Daughter's is a 1985. They are a pain to get in and out of.

In what snow we get in OK - yes. I never had any problems driving my SLC in
snow - at least not any different from any other car i've owned.

 My wife has expressed an interest in one too. Are they fairly driveable in
