Gary does some of that stuff to stir up trouble. Surprised it occurred
on the main list, it is usually a Banned activity.

In the reserve unit I belong to, all of the enlisted have at least a bachelor's degree and most have higher degrees. In their civilian jobs some of them (the enlisted) are CIO's, CEO's, presidents, etc. etc.
I've served on ships at sea in the 90's and in the last few years, and the increase in the quality of the Sailors since then is nothing short of astounding.
I've served with members of all of our branches very recently, and I loved them all so much that it will be very difficult for me to make the decision to retire, despite the hardship my family has suffered because of my service.
You would be well advised to try to hire a veteran for your business, if you need to hire. Just don't make any statements like the below, and hope that they have an open mind when/if they read your statement below when they google your name.

A citizen was somebody who had served in the military, and only citizens
could vote. There were no limits on who could serve in the military, for
denying them because of age, health, or gender would be denying them the
rights of citizenship.
