Do you have snow shoes and cross country skis? (if you are not into snowmobiles)
The last time that I recall having so much snow that we could not move about for a few days was November 8, 1986 (I think). We had skis and I went out just to look around the neighborhood. I had snow shoes in the garage at the lake so the next summer I bought them home. They have now hung in my garage for almost 23 years and I have yet to use them. I wonder if they would fall apart if I did. The bindings are no doubt so stiff that they would not be much good. Not sure about the webbing which is leather that has been varnished. They may be junk so I should check and throw them out if they could not be used. I am not hanging them on the wall for decoration. Don't know if they still do, but back when they were new, they did not smell all that nice. Yeah, I have a generator I have never used, and stacks o' firewood. And a few bottles of tasty vino and plenty of other adult bevvies. The 1" blizzard we are expecting might tax the power system mightily but we will probably survive. --R Dillon, Meade M CIV SPAWARSYSCEN-ATLANTIC, 53310 wrote: > Charleston is officially in a state of panic this a.m., because the > weather guessers say it might snow this afternoon/evening... > > Guess I'd better fill up the gas can for the generator so I don't end up > like Andrew.
