Thanks for the link. I'll keep it available, tell friend about it, etc., for when/if he wants to replace his opaque lenses. He doesn't even know it, yet. BTW, because I may have to do it, how are the lenses removed/attached, etc?

Bekkers has replacement lenses for the W210, purportedly OE: http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=USARepLights11&Category_Code=mpllight

I'm told these are as good as the originals, but have never seen them in person. OE W210 fog light lenses are really inexpensive at the dealer.

You can also polish plastic lenses to look nearly new, minus all the rock chips. But glass remains the only way to go in my book; just have to remove the lenses and clean the fog off the inside every five years.
