The friend I got my 300D from had a 02. Bought it off his sister. Had
about 45k miles on it.
Nice car, only problem he had with it was the ABS system.
Sister had the brakes replaced about 2 weeks before he got it.
About a week after he got it ABS light came on. Took it to my MB Indy ,
who has a lot of
experience with the Lexii. He got the light to go out by bleeding the
ABS system.
Said whoever changed the pads didn't follow Toybox's procedure.
Two weeks later the Da*m light is back on. Back to my Indy it went. bled
it again. Light stayed
out for about 3 days. Ordered a New ABS Module installed it and system
worked Ok for about 2 mts.
The Light back on. He said the He*l with it and drove it like that for
over a year.
Warning don't hit anything with the front going over 5mph. Woman backed
up into him while
stopped in a traffic jam on the interstate. She decided she was going to
take the shoulder to go
around the traffic. Hit him in the grill not enough to set off the
airbags but it did 6 Grand worth
of damage to the front end. BTW she got away.
Now he's driving a 04 Toybox Corrola S.

Just got done looking at a 1998 Lexus GS 300. Nice car, one owner, only 70k.
Everything I've found review and owner-wise I've found on these has been
positive. The mileage is a little lower than I would like, but I can live with
it.
Any opinions or direct experience with Lexii out there?
