Regarding plug in electric cars, how about saying, "same emissions, usually
from burning the same old dino products, or worse, but we certify to dump
100% of the crap in someone's far away backyard, not yours".

Nah, maybe not such a good idea.  That might take some of the feel good,
warm and fluffy feeling away from electric car ownership. hee hee
