Really? I thought it was the same with the exception of the engines, tranny, and ACC through the production span. (Oh, yes - and the reinforced front sub-frame). I did enjoy the drive - handling of the SLC. Just not the fuel gulping and dead rubber bits under the dash, leaking sunroof, torn up seats --- great car otherwise.
