Up here (Vancouver WA) the NAPA mostly caters to the shop trade too. My
experience with Autozone has been much better. Their counter people (mostly
gals) are quite knowledgeable and helpful. They actually have opened up a
new store closer to my home, I'll have to check them out. Carquest is
pretty good too.

Around here it is Arnolds, a small regional chain, then oreally? then
NAPA (who used to be really good, but now they ignore the counter
trade to concentrate on the shop trade) then carquest (who used to be
Jockos and were really good), then Advance. Autozone was so bad
they folded up several years ago.

Always entertaining when a walton has to fold up. It was also
interesting to watch the walton-walton battle of oreally driving out
autozone.

Car Quest is very good in some places, but not here.

Arnolds and NAPA have almost all the shop trade, including the
stealer-dealers, who claim to only use OE parts... (Charge for a GM
new starter, put in a reman.)
