but you also used ether to start the car.  That implies that you
see the WVO risk to be less than or equal to using starting
fluid.

you seem to have taken part of my epistle OUT of context or maybe i wasn't very clear

The no start condition was resolved 6 or 7 months ago after i rebuilt the injectors with new monark nozzles

and ether CAN be used without damage if you don't use very much .... it only took a tiny PHHHTTT of ether
