Although I can't drive, I've had plenty of hobby cars over the past 20 years
that I've worked on and ridden in.
The first one was a '58 Volvo 444 in 1991, '62 Corvair Monza Convertible in
'95, '62 Corvair Greenbrier Van in '97, '64 Corvair Greenbrier van later
that year (used the '62 as a parts donor), '62 Studebaker Lark V8 in '98, a
couple of Ford Pinto wagons and a Mercury bobcat hatchback in the early
2000's, but I came to my senses and bought my first Mercedes, a '78 300d in
2002. in 2003, I got another '78 300D. I ended up selling those and
getting another '78 300d in 2004. Then came the short term Mazda Diesel
that moved some of our stuff and hauled supplies for the new house. Those
two went away and were replaced by the '78 300CD I should have never sold.
Then came the '81 300CD I learned how to"achust der falfs" which got it back
on the road. The last one to date, the '83 300SD I owned for 3 years. I'll
own another Mercedes Diesel someday.
