Yes, I believe this unit is in fact manufactured by Whirlpool. I am sure, however that it is manufactured to Kenmore specs. It also proves that Whirlpool is capable of producing a quality product, even though they do not market a dishwasher of this quality under their own brand label.

Sears does not actually make their own appliances. Kenmore has been made by several manufactures over the years and I don't know who's making them now. At one point I think a lot of their stuff was Whirlpool.
