Fronts are relatively easy to replace, except maybe for the ones glued on.
Never did rears and I expect you'll need to fix them unless there's little
left to fix.

We are thinking of repainting her 1985 300CD.  It has some rust in
both front fenders, esp. the passenger side.  Would it be less costly
to 1) buy and install (relatively) rust-free used fenders; or 2) have
the body shop repair the existing ones?
