I think we are of the same mind on the "Preppers" issue. Seems logical to
me if life as we know it truly ends, all bets are off and having even 5
years of beans and rice laid away won't restore you or society. In fact,
survival logic says it would make you a target for those hungry folks who
don't have supplies.

Seems to me, surviving in that kind of situation would require reverting to
"hunter/ gatherer/ nomad" lifestyle and setting in one spot expecting to
have supplies delivered to you, mental mind set, is nearly deadly.
Presuming the end of the world as we know it has indeed come...

Just a thought... off to grind up a batch of rat and grub gumbo with a side
of nuts and berries.
