Good to know; thanks. I have an old single shot 12 ga I put a stock on
years ago, but I want to make a better stock for it. I checked and the
federal law says barrel no shorter than 18" and total length of gun no
shorter than 26". I would think that extending the stock to 26" above the
pistol grip would satisfy the gov't. The barrel has already been cut to
18".

any problems, but is you are not used to guns I could see how it would be
easy to injure yourself or others

Having said that, experiences perps and even menacing dogs know when

loading a clip. No shot is necessary. The just move on.
