I like continuous rotary motion much better than recip motion.
I've never seen an automotive compressor that wasn't reciprocating. The number and type of pistons vary, as does the rotary/reciprocating conversion mechanism, but there are still pistons. 10, in the case of our Nippondensos. If the old electrical/plumbing analog holds, it'd take three pistons in order to produce more-or-less continuous power transmission. The York has two, so it's going to be a lot more lumpy. -- Jim _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
