Well, there is cosmetic damage, but the real problem is with the sub-frame to which the front suspension connects. The mounting flanges on the sub-frame that hold the right lower suspension parts (A-arm?) were what hit the curb cut and are now very noticably bent backward. To fix all that, one has to replace the sub-frame. To get the sub-frame out, one needs to remove the engine.
