Used to be officers only; for several years eligibility has include officers
and enlisted on active duty, retired or honorably discharged and their
children and grandchildren if the parent/guardian has USAA.

My Dad was active duty in WWII. I thought that would make me eligible for
USAA. Not the case, so they told me.
Can you only join if you are active duty, or the dependent of an active
duty military member?

$250. Here is the next next part. The battery was starting to get
weak
and if car sat for a few days without driving the battery would be
dead. Ins paid for a brand new mb battery which was $800, could not
believe that!
