And that's precisely what the interstate commerce clause in the federal Constitution is all about. Not so the federal government can regulate/tax/interfere with everything that has the potential to affect interstate commerce (which is of course everything), but so the states can't interfere with interstate activity.

But the Constitution can't be allowed to stand in the way of the Chicago Mob's shakedown activities, can it?
