Please understand that I am not pointing fingers or placing blame. Considering 
that this is a used car and had multiple owners there is no way to know the 
details of its history.

I suspect that the original bolt got damaged and someone used a non-standard 
replacement, which is what most likely caused it to get boogered up.

Not a big deal, just a little frustrating when you roll under the car expecting 
to take 30 minutes and ending up taking longer.

What's important is that I was able to sort it out with minimal effort. 
Considering the amount of work I have done on the car since I got it this is 
the first and only time I have found something goobered up.
