It's a prize I would gladly not take if somehow we could time machine
backward and prevent the crash.

The old adage in aviation is "All accidents happen on the ground before
takeoff" to often is true. Somewhere, someone, or a group of someones set
the stage for things to go wrong... then Murphy decided to visit, as always
at the worst possible moment. The four most worthless things in aviation
are: Planning not done, runway behind you, altitude above you, and fuel not
in the tank.

I still have friends that are FAA crash investigators and if the location
were anywhere but Iraq, I could call and get details. Not likely in this
instance, however.
