Well my preterence would be one of each. The best car I have ever owned in
50  years including 5 MBs is my 124 300D 2.5. I have put 100k miles on it
and spent very little on repairs. I love the looks of my 300CDT but the 124
is the real driver.  I commute 300 miles a week.
