Resist the urge to go cold turkey off those powerful pain meds. Silly me, after I had both knees replaced at once I decided I could handle the pain and wanted to be off the drugs. You need to taper off or you will feel really sick.

Right now, just sitting here, the repaired hernia is what hurts. Slightly more than the hernia itself ever did without the narcotics.
